It took me a while to get around to it, but inspired by so many of the gorgeous mothers and daughters I've seen coordinating on Instagram, Mama Minouche is finally here!
I've chosen to create just a few pieces from the Spring collection in adult sizes, styles I chose specifically because I think these are the ones that translate best into adult style - each to their own, but I'm not a huge fan of grown women dressing in ultra-cutesy pieces.
These dresses are also the most flattering on the female form - one is quite fitted in the bodice for those who prefer a closer fit; the other is a much roomier design for those who like to camouflage their middle section, or just prefer the comfort of a more full-bodied frock.
The Kate button front dress in striped cotton seersucker is a beautiful stand-alone dress, but if you're looking to match with your mini it also has the most options - the Kate dress, the unisex Pip shortall/overall and the unisex Poet romper.
The button front dress in woven stripe is my personal favourite and the one Im most eager to add to my own wardrobe - although my wardrobe is overflowing with stripes, this fabric offers a stripe a little different to your regular Breton style.
The fabric placed in varying directions provides interest while the neutral tones in the stripes ensures it will go with so many other pieces in your wardrobe. This style coordinates perfectly with its little sister, the Kate dress in woven stripe, and the vintage 70s style Stevie dress.
The stunning Celeste dress is also available for mamas this season, in beautiful white and pale blue textured cottons.
The relaxed, roomy style makes this style extra comfortable to wear, while the embroidered-look cotton fabric elevates it from the run of the mill casual dress.
I think this style - in both the mama and mini styles - would suit a relaxed Australian Christmas to a tee.
I hope you love this small selection of womens dresses - hopefully there will be many more to come in future xo
